Dr. Marina E. Hrincu

Risk Assessment Officer – Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship – Canada

Dr. Marina Hrincu studied Organizational Management, Philosophy and Psychology in Canada, and has been employed as a Foreign Service Officer for 26 years working in the field of Immigration.

Her previous postings include India, Jamaica, Nigeria, Ghana, Russia, Philippines;
Has also worked in: Bangladesh, Benin, Cayman Islands, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Ivory Coast, Poland, Romania, Taiwan, Togo, Ukraine, The U.K., Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), among others.

She is currently posted at the Canadian High Commission in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago as a Risk Assessment Officer. Her responsibilities include: observing and reporting on trends in the region, investigating anti-fraud activities, working with regional governments and officials in reducing immigration fraud and sharing information on Canada’s immigration role in the region including areas of concern. Her responsibilities cover 10 countries including: Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
